Description

This is an 11″ x 14″ oil painting of a baby squirrel that just happened to come visit me one day as I was in my kitchen.  He had a little nut in his hands, probably an acorn from my oak trees, and turned around and looked me square in the eye through the glass at me!  He was so cute, and I had time to grab my camera and grab this shot, and turn it into a painting.  It was difficult to show the glare from the glass yet not blur out the squirrel, but I believe I captured it well.  The squirrel is in light burnt sienna, grays and brown.  There were shrubs around him, so there are very loosely painted hints of lots of vibrant greens, yellow-greens and turquoise, deep indigo and purples in this piece.  He is framed in a brown wooden frame.
