6 x 6 oil on block canvas, series of four. This is a black faced sheep from a farm in Albion, PA owned by Mr. Richard English, who gave permission for the photos. His head is turned to the right and he is eating green grass. His fleece is done loosely with warm whites, and sunlight hitting the soft colors in the coat, purples and deep blues for the black areas, green grass and blue skies. This are not framed, as they are meant to hang just like this due to a 2 inch thick side, which is painted silver to compliment the sheep’s colors.
