Description
6 x 6 oil on canvas block part of a family of four black faced sheep. This is the lamb and is looking straight on at you, the ears are larger and floppier, as he is a baby. The face and legs are done in deep blues and purples, the sky is blue and the grass is yellow-green. This is painted very softly and impressionistic. The fleece is done in warm whites, gray, and pale yellows as the sun hits him. This is not framed, as it has a 2 inch wide side all around the canvas which is painted a silver. This goes beautifully with the sky color and I think this baby lamb needs to go with his family, making a set of 4.
